can't keep up! {and a bit of a brain dump}

i really want to make this blog keep happening but it just isn't happening!

a big part of me wants to give up on it but i feel the strong need to preserve these precious memories

life is busy, super busy

way way fun though!

having three kids hasn't really phased me like i thought it would. for me, it's not neccessarily harder with three, just busier

most days are great and go so smoothly but i do have my occasional freak out which in turn brings on a meltdown, those are fun! luckily they are few and far between

it helps so much that cheech is freakishly easy!

we don't exactly have a schedule (i honestly love flying by the seat of my pants!) and magz takes most of her naps in a stroller or her car seat, ah well

i have also had to learn to deal with a messy house, get over it when i run out of clothes because i am so behind on laundry and make do with a messy kitchen (which i despise)

there has been a lot of "letting go" on my part and it hasn't been easy for me!

we are busy soaking up every last DROP of this warm weather so we hit up parks daily, go for runs/bike rides on the trail and enjoy hours of playing outside

i honestly don't know what i am going to do with myself when it gets cold....starting to panic. ha. although i love me some jeans, sweats, socks, comfy shoes, slippers and hoodies!! ye haw!

i kind of want a Wii fit from santa so griff and i can dance and workout all winter and not go too crazy being cooped up

anyway, about the blog...i still need to blog the 4th of july, kason's birthday (august) mine and nolan's birthday (september) and griffin's (october)

thanksgiving too. you get the idea. SO behind.

the thought is daunting to say the least....

farewell fall, we have loved the garbage out of you!!!

backtracking

with the birth of little magz and life just happening right before my eye's (and super fast, at that) i have severely neglected my poor blog

i have a goal to be caught up by christmas!

here's to hoping! (and trying!)

so a lot of the previous posts are OLD news!

tongue tied

(september)

so when nolan was born his doctor noticed right away that he was tongue tied

he offered to grab some scissors and clip it right then and there!

i couldn't imagine scissors being stuffed into my brand new baby's mouth with no numbing, no nothing, so i said 'thanks but no thanks'

he nursed great but refused bottles and binks (could have been the tongue issue)

so fast forward like a year or so....

nolan just wasn't talking like he should and wasn't talking as early and clearly as griff did

so i kept waiting and waiting to see if his talking would come around and it really wasn't

so off i went to a pediatric dentist

he looked into nolan's mouth and was shocked to see the severity of his tongue tie

one of the worst he has seen!

he said the dr's office clipping wouldn't have done a thing for nolan

at the time of the pre-op appointment nolan wasn't quite 2 and pretty tiny still

so we had to give it a few months for him to gain some weight

he ended up getting the procedure done, healed super fast and now he is finally talking and starting to form sentences, yay!

he still has a long way to go but we are so happy with our decision and so glad it all went well

soda pop

we were so bored one day and it was SO hot and i was just plain out of ideas!

so we headed down to an antique store on main where they have an old fashioned cooler with a bunch of yummy bottled sodas on ice

all you do is pick your flavor and pop a dollar in a jar

tasted so good on this blazing hot summer day!

first {real} bath

i had lot's of help with chi chi's first bath!



she loved it, of course

her belly button needed a little bandaid because it was still oozing and bleeding and just not quite ready



but the girl needed a bath SO badly!

with it being july she was always a little hot and sweaty, poor girlfriend

tummy time

none of my kids have ever been a fan, maybe i don't do it enough?

but even though i don't do it much (can't stand watching them sit there and hate it lol) they end being able to figure out how to hold their heads up eventually!

loving on maggie

the first few months after maggie was born the boy's asked to hold her A LOT

it was actually so fun for me to watch them interact with her as they held her



she was definitely always more comfortable with griffin!



she still gets held a lot but she is super wiggly now and getting so big for them to hold

they do a lot of playing and toy handing now

they both eat her up as much as i do, so thankful for that
