Making Organic Homemade Babyfood

I have been really enjoying buying organic fruits and veggies and creating meals for Griff. He loves everything I have made so far! The peas didn't go over too well so when I mixed them with breast milk and rice cereal he LOVED them, figures! So far he has had avocado, banana, squash, carrots, pears, peaches, applesauce, broccoli, sweet potatoes, papaya, oatmeal and rice cereal. We are going to move on to more types of food soon! My favorite website for babyfood recipes is http://wholesomebabyfood.com/

Go and check it out!

Griffin Robert Pead or Grippin'

Griffin was created just 4 months into our marriage, oooooop's. We were a little freaked out and VERY surprised at first but as my pregnancy went along we both got really excited! I had a great pregnancy, no problems what so ever. I actually really enjoyed being pregnant and I cannot wait to do it again! Kason and I decided not to find out the sex, which was really hard! It wasn't hard until the very end because we were both in suspense and dying to know what we were having! I wanted a boy soooo badly but I didn't want to preoccupy my brain with boy stuff so toward the end of my pregnancy I had to force myself to go and look at girl stuff just to get my mind away from wanting a boy. I have always wanted a boy first. So, the time finally came. I went to one of my last doctor appointments a couple of days before my due date. I was getting uncomfortable and the doctor ending up finding some protein and my blood pressure was higher than normal. He said, 'You ready to have a baby'? And I was like, 'Ya tomorrow or something'? He shook his head and told me to head to hospital now. I was so excited to hear that!! I called everyone and then ran home to meet Kason and grab my bag. Kason and his Uncle Curtis gave me a blessing and off we went! After a horribly long induction (22 hours of labor!) and 3 hours of pushing, Griffin finally arrived! He weighed 8 pounds 5 ounces and he was limp and didn't cry. He was okay but he was traumatized and exhausted! I was too. I started falling asleep the minute he came out! To sum it all up, he has been the BEST baby I could ever ask for. I feel so lucky to have him and I am so thankful that he is healthy and happy. He is such a good boy, he never cries, he sleeps through the night and he has the most content way about him. He is tricking me into wanting to have another baby because motherhood has been piece of cake so far!

Our Wedding Day September 29, 2006

Kason and I got married on a beautiful sunny day in St. George, Utah. We got sealed in the temple at 2pm and had a reception at the Courtyard Marriot (Thanks Nicole!) from 7 to 9pm that evening. Our Aunt and Uncle drove us to the Las Vegas airport at 10pm an hour after our reception to catch a red eye flight to Miami, Florida. We then went on to have a beautiful honeymoon on a cruise to the Western Caribbean. We had the BEST time! We sat around on the beach a lot and we got room service every single morning! We also swam with sting ray's. It was just WEEKS after the Crocodile Hunter was killed by one so I was terrified!!!!!!!

How it began..........

As some of you may know I am from Phoenix, Arizona and I moved to St. George on somewhat of a whim! I am so glad I did because I met my wonderful husband here, so moving to Utah was the best choice I EVER made! I work with Kason's Mom for the school district and she introduced us in May of 2006. We met and hit it off right away! We decided not too long after we met to date exclusively and now here we are married with a beautiful life and a wonderful baby boy named Griffin Robert. Kason and Griffin have been two HUGE blessings in my life. Kason and I are happily married and loving every minute of it! Above is a picture of Kason meeting half of my family for the first time. My Dad was taking the picture!
