Rough Start

This pregnancy has already been interesting! I have been having a few complications so I am hoping that this baby decides to stick and stay around. If not, I know it is just not meant to be and I am perfectly okay with that. It just might not be in the plans but I sure hope it is! This baby will be so special because it is due on my birthday! I am sure I won't have it on my birthday but just that the fact it is due on that day makes this baby extra special :) I went the doctor today to get my HCG levels tested and might continue doing so for the next few weeks. My doctor is also checking on my progesterone levels as well. Here's to hoping that this baby stays awhile! Hopefully for the next 8 or so months!

UPDATE: My HCG levels looked good but my progesterone is really low :( I have to start taking meds asap in order to keep this pregnancy going. NO wonder it took me soooo long to get pregnant! Next time I will need to be on some meds in order to get preg's and stay preg's. Here's to hoping! I would really like to have my September birthday baby!

Arizona Trip

Griffin and I just got back from a nice trip to AZ! It was beautiful there! It was 75 degrees the whole time with tons of sunshine. It was crazy to see everyone there wearing shorts and tank tops. I forgot how nice the weather is in January! I basically just relaxed and shopped..that was about it! I got a ton of maternity stuff from Shade (who was having an amazing sale!) and some longer regular shirts for when my belly starts showing up, which might be sooner this time around! I also hiked and went on walks twice a day, everyday. I hit up all of my favorite stores and restaurants so the walking and hiking was much needed :) Griffin became really good friends with the family dog Lexi who is a tiny little spoiled Yorkie. He loved exploring the huge backyard and picking oranges off the trees with Grandpa. We had a great time! Now it's back to the grind, back to work, etc. I am hoping to have lots of energy and not be too tired with this pregnancy. I am hoping work doesn't totally wear me out too, yikes. I can't believe we are expecting again. I didn't even know a September baby would be possible! We had been talking so much about not trying for a while because of the economy, not wanting another October baby...those kinds of things. I honestly didn't even know I was pregnant which is exactly how it was with Griff. This time I had been having weird ovary/abdominal pain so I had made an appointment in Arizona with a specialist to check up on things. I had a huge ovarian cyst while I was pregnant with Griffin and I was afraid something was going on with my ovaries. I was actually kind of nervous for the appointment! So, needless to say I was 2 days late so I figured I should take a test to rule out pregnancy and there it was! I had been late a couple months before so this was just a routine thing. We are super excited about this baby and we are in the midst of trying to decide if we want to find out the sex but we probably won't. It would ruin it for me....there are few surprises in life :) Anyway, we are glad to be back and I know Griff can't wait to see everyone, especially Grammy!

September Baby?

I guess I spoke wayyyy too soon on my last blog post. I feel like such a fool because here I am pregnant and due in September! I thought a September baby wouldn't be possible because Kason had been out of town SO much in December. But here I am! I can't even believe it!! It pays to not think about things too much and not try to hard. I was actually excited to take a break from "trying" because I didn't want to have a baby within any of the next 3 months but September works for me! I LOVE September because it's my birthday month and anniversary month :) Anyway, so here we go again. I am very happy but also pretty terrified. The thought of 2 kids scares the daylights out of me! But we are so glad and we feel so blessed to bring another little spirit into this world and into our home.

Another October Baby?

Most of you know that we have been trying since Griff was 9 months old and he is now 15 months old, hmmm. Don't know what that's all about! I was so dead set on having my babies 19 months apart but obviously that didn't happen. For the first few months that we tried I was so worried and stressed about it. Then when it wasn't happening I started using ovulation predictors and when that didn't get me pregnant I moved on to basal body temperature taking. I don't even want to begin explaining that process, ughh. Anyway, now that Griff is older and harder but more fun, I am kind of over even trying! I am actually kind of terrified to have another one. I also no longer care what the age difference is. If Griff is the only baby I will ever have, I will be okay with it! I am also starting to rethink the number of kids I want to have. I am thinking maybe two? We will see...I am not getting any younger! Pregnancy and breastfeeding are the two hardest things on the planet! Anyway, I am pretty darn sure I don't want another October baby so we need to stop trying right NOW. I don't want to have the same exact experience again. I also don't really want a November or December baby. Too many holidays haha :) I don't want to be having a baby on Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year's. So I am thinking we are going to quit trying until April, May, June..something like that :)I am excited for another little one and sort of excited to be pregnant again but I think I can relax and stop thinking about it for now.
