Father's Day 2010

**Kason is such a funny Daddy. Always having fun and making us all laugh. We love you Kasondilla**

Kason you are an amazing Daddy! I don't know what I would do without you. The kids would run me ragged! Thanks for all that you do for our family and our little boy's. They both adore you. I adore you for being a wonderful, hard working hubby.

Daddy, you are the best Dad ever!! Thanks for everything you have ever done for me. Of course I wish I would have listened to your advice all along because you have always been right! Doh! But live and learn, right? That was always my motto! But I came around thanks to you and your wisdom!

Bobby Earl, you are a superb father-in-law. I am way too lucky for words! Thanks for everything you do. None of it goes unappreciated.

Love to all of the wonderful Daddies out there!

About Time...

Kason and I have fixed up our house so much over the year's. We have decorated every room in our house...except ours. So now is the time! We need a romantic, pretty little room to escape to. We have a big ghetto Ikea computer desk in our room with a big clunky computer on it. We are using a quilt that Grandpa Veyo made out of scrap fabric and we have mismatched ugly sheets. Not cute. Although we both LOVE the quilt, it's time to move on. Although of course we will keep the quilt forever! It's too cute, plus it has sentimental value.

I started the decorating with bedding that I got at TJ Maxx for cheap. The pillows came from Target, love that stinkin' place. Too much. Next I am off to look at a cute shabby little distressed black desk that I found in Craigslist. Looking at it this afternoon, hope it's just as cute in person! Then we need to get some decor, do some painting, maybe make or buy some cute curtains and refinish our nightstands. I am so excited! My dream is to get a cute laptop in a fun color and then a wireless printer to go on my cute little desk. We need to say goodbye to our 4 year old computer. It's not cute and it runs like junk.

Here's the start of my cozy little room:

**nevermind the brown bedskirt. i went to look for one and only found ONE cream colored bedskirt but it was 60 bones. NO thanks! brown will do for now :)

Night Time Routine

Normally when Kason is in town Griff get's "rocked" to sleep. "Rocked" meaning Daddy and Griff sit in the recliner and chat, read books or watch Marbles Marbles (Modern Marvels)while Griffin has a little sippy of milk. This has been a ritual for a LONG time. They both love it but I wonder how long this will go on?? Ha. It's weird to say that Griff still gets rocked to sleep! They basically just sit together and then Griffin crashes out. No hard core rocking involved. That would be nuts! It's just their bonding time.

Poor kid has had to fall asleep like this since Kason has been out of town:

I feel terrible about it but Nolan has been so needy lately and I have ZERO time to sit and "rock." Plus, bathing two kids and trying to get them in bed and asleep with no one to help is super hard! Don't look forward to doing it all again starting this Sunday. Blah.

Nine Months

-Army crawls like a mad man everywhere
-Pulls himself up onto things and is starting to creep, yipes
**Kason walked at nine months, Griff at ten..were getting very close!**
-Obsessed with all types of hair..long, short, he doesn't care! He just wants to grab it and suck on it.
-Clapped for the first time just recently
-Two teeth about to pop through on the bottom, any second now
**keep prying the poor kids mouth open to check**
-STILL waking throughout the night, every night
**at a point where I am super used to it and too much of a weenie to let him cry it out. i promise i will not complain about it anymore**
-Loves nursing way too much. Turns back into a cuddly, whiny little baby when he wants it.
-Drinks 2 to 4 ounces of formula a day but refuses any more than that. Drinks it from a Dora sippy cup. Absolutely no bottles. Ever.
-When he remembers that I still have plenty of milk, he refuses the cup and turns his body sideways to nurse. It's quite funny! He knows he is being tricked. Just like to give my boobs a dang rest sometimes! Wouldn't be the least bit sad if he decided to quit. Only sad part would be buying formula. So expensive!
-Screams and squeals like CRAZY when he see's a dog. He might just be my little animal lover. Lucky for him Mema and Pepa are getting a puppy!!!
-Screams bloody murder when he gets hurt. It's sad and kind of funny at the same time. He is my little wussy boy! Soooo sensitive.

Love this pretty little boy to pieces. More and more everyday. Drives me insane that he likes me so much but sometimes I secretly like that he's a little Momma's boy. Wonder if he will stay that way? Griff is a Mema's boy. I swear the kid would choose his Mema over me! Ha!

***I was holding Nolan and rocking him and he wanted down, of course. So down he went and off he went! I started to hear weird noises so I went into the kitchen and there he was "unloading" the dishwasher. Thank goodness there were no knives in there! Ahh.

June 24th

First tooth has popped through! Way more to come. Nolan has had a terrible time teething :( It has been rough to say the least. I will leave it at that!

Summertime

It has taken me a minute to get used to not working three day's a week and it was a shock being with my boy's all day everyday. Only at first. Now I think I've got the hang of this full time Mom thing! And I love it! YES, it's super hard not having Kason here to help me, mostly with the night time routine. It's hard getting 2 kiddos bathed and in bed! I am pooped by the end of the night and of course I have gang loads of cleaning to do after a long day with two messy boy's. Then, all I want to do is wind down by internet browsing, blogging and catching up on my shows. I really should just get in bed and snooze away before little Nolan decides to wake me.

I have been wracking my brain trying to come up with activities and things to do with Griff to keep us both busy. I get bored too. Summer has always KILLED me. It's too hot to do all of the outdoor things we enjoy so we are stuck inside most of the day.

Here are some pics a few things we have done..along with many trips to the splash pad, swimming, going to the park, going for walks, going to Barnes and Noble, playing at Mema's...you name it.

We made pictures and wrote letters to people. Griff insisted on writing a letter to Dora complete with an actual stamp. We even marched right over to the post office to mail it. I guess I am going to have to have "Dora" write him back! He also wrote a letter to his cousin Addie up north.

Look at the little Dora he drew! Hair, legs, shoes and all! Ha.

Here are our little notes! He chose who he wanted write notes too. I made him do a Daddy one for when Kaso gets home next week. I got in on the fun too!

We also played with shaving cream. This is a really fun, easy to clean up activity. I love it and Griff loved it too! You can write the alphabet, practice shapes....whatever!

Here's to me trying to be as creative as possible because it's going to be a lonnng summer! I am so happy that I don't have to work and I fully intend on enjoying my boy's to the fullest! Can't wait for our summer trips to begin though :)

Update On Sound Sleeper Machine

Didn't work the first night but the second night he slept for 6 hours straight before waking! That is amazing considering how often he normally wakes.

I think he will need to be conditioned in order to be soothed by the sleep machine so I am using it every single night and for every single nap. Here's to hoping!

Oh and my awesome Mom called me today and told me that she is coming to the rescue on Monday morning!!!! Ahhhh. I am so excited! Kason will be gone for another week so she will be great help to have around.

My Sweet Momma

So I am sure I have the whole world feeling bad for me. Ha. Most of my posts seem to be about how tired and stressed I am. My poor Facebook page is littered with status updates about me being soooo tired and so over it. I am though. Who wouldn't be tired of waking up a 84 times a night and trying every little thing to get my almost 9 month old to sleep through the night. Ridiculous I tell you.

Back to the the title of my post. My Mom is awesome. She really is. She has had many a phone calls from me lately about the boy's. They are hardly ever good lighthearted phone calls. Poor her. I ask her all the time how she had four kids and why. LOL. She tells me that she thinks it was probably a lot of work but she doesn't remember. How funny is that? I am pretty sure I won't forget these difficult times. All of this has made me change my mind about wanting another really soon. I am way over it.

Again, back to my sweet Momma! She sent me this book in the mail to combat Griff's issues and this awesome thing for Nolan: (PLEASE work)

He is fast asleep in his room as we speak listening to the sweet sounds of the ocean. If he sleeps through the night or at least most of the night, there WILL be a big ol' post about it tomorrow. Guaranteed.

Also, thanks to my Mom (and my 80 something Grandma's boyfriend Fred. Got that?) for faithfully clipping coupons and mailing them to me often. Gotta love that.

Thanks Mom for being amazing and always sending stuff to rescue me from my woe's!

So True

Fun Times

I taught Griff how to turn the camera around and take pictures of himself. Here's what he got!

Here's a good one he took of Nolan

Nolan already wants to do what Griff does. Hilarious. Except Griff is naked. Now that he knows how to take off his clothes we see a lot of his naked little body!

We miss this boy so much! But he will be back on Friday to prepare a little better for his job. Then it's back to work on Sunday night for a solid 2 weeks. I had already mentally prepared myself for him being gone a long time this time but yayy he is coming home for the weekend!!!

This pic shows you just how much Kase loves getting his pic taken! It also shows you how much he loves the idea that it could be on the blog. Haha.
