Summertime

It has taken me a minute to get used to not working three day's a week and it was a shock being with my boy's all day everyday. Only at first. Now I think I've got the hang of this full time Mom thing! And I love it! YES, it's super hard not having Kason here to help me, mostly with the night time routine. It's hard getting 2 kiddos bathed and in bed! I am pooped by the end of the night and of course I have gang loads of cleaning to do after a long day with two messy boy's. Then, all I want to do is wind down by internet browsing, blogging and catching up on my shows. I really should just get in bed and snooze away before little Nolan decides to wake me.

I have been wracking my brain trying to come up with activities and things to do with Griff to keep us both busy. I get bored too. Summer has always KILLED me. It's too hot to do all of the outdoor things we enjoy so we are stuck inside most of the day.

Here are some pics a few things we have done..along with many trips to the splash pad, swimming, going to the park, going for walks, going to Barnes and Noble, playing at Mema's...you name it.

We made pictures and wrote letters to people. Griff insisted on writing a letter to Dora complete with an actual stamp. We even marched right over to the post office to mail it. I guess I am going to have to have "Dora" write him back! He also wrote a letter to his cousin Addie up north.

Look at the little Dora he drew! Hair, legs, shoes and all! Ha.

Here are our little notes! He chose who he wanted write notes too. I made him do a Daddy one for when Kaso gets home next week. I got in on the fun too!

We also played with shaving cream. This is a really fun, easy to clean up activity. I love it and Griff loved it too! You can write the alphabet, practice shapes....whatever!

Here's to me trying to be as creative as possible because it's going to be a lonnng summer! I am so happy that I don't have to work and I fully intend on enjoying my boy's to the fullest! Can't wait for our summer trips to begin though :)
