Riding

Nolan scares me, he is far too brave!

 

 

Griff is a lot more careful, at least on the motorcycle

 

finally got some warm weather here so we headed out for a little riding

 

it was gorgeous and warm, we had so much fun!

 

magz was slightly unimpressed and spent her time napping in the truck, snacking and sitting in her little chair.
 

TV girl

Maggie is obsessed with TV

she asks for specific shows all day long and watches the shows from beginning to end

the boy's didn't watch a thirty minute kid show until they were 2+

Nolan was probably more like 3 when he started really watching shows

her favorites are: Umiiiiii (Umi Zoomi) and Oooo Why (Super Why) and Kratt's (Wild Kratt's)

she will occasionally watch Dora while singing pack-pack pack-pack

we were sick for WEEKS after Christmas and we probably watched 8,000 hours of TV

it was my worst nightmare!

i like TV but i don't love it

i watch an hour or so of TV every night before bed, but if there is nothing on, i will craft, blog or organize

(side note about organizing: i LOVE to organize and i think i am good at it but it never stays organized! i swear i organize all over again about once a month. maybe it's me? or the kids?)

it trips me out how much Maggie loves TV but it sometimes makes life REALLY easy

Christmas

Spent some of Christmas Eve in Veyo and then it was off to have a sleepover at Mema and Pepa's

ate a yummy mexican dinner and as we ate we talked about Klint and how sad we were that he wasn't there

we were feeling bad that he was in the MTC for Christmas, at least i was!

as we were eating and chatting, an email came through from him telling us that he was fine and so happy to be there during Christmas, yay!

we watched the Grinch and then put the kids to bed

Kason and I set up (which wasn't much) and then it was off to bed

we all woke up around 8am and the kids checked out their stockings and what Santa brought

then we headed to our fave, Black Bear Diner, for a yummy breakfast

after that we opened presents, relaxed, played, napped and then had the pleasure of Skyping with Maddy in North Carolina

it was the perfect end to Christmas day!

When their faces were uncovered, they didn't move an inch for a LONG time.

 

they just sat and stared with these expressions, it was hilarious!

 

 

Finally Griff got up and tested out the seat

 

then we took it outside and he hopped right on and rode it with NO problem

 

everyone took a ride, including Mema and Pepa, we were a sight to see!

 

Magz hated it at first and then ended up loving it

 

 

then we drove it down to the school to do a little more riding

this is a good little addition to the collection of family four wheelers and we can't wait to take it out and really use it!

gingerbread house

we try to do some sort of gingerbead house every year

Kason and Pepa got really creative with some cardboard and we built a beast of a house

we had tons of fun candy and some frosting tube thingy's to make it easy for everyone

Christmas Sunday

Kason was sick on Christmas Sunday so I braved church alone with the kids and thank heavens, they were so so good

it was such a good meeting and i am so glad we decided to go, even though i was nervous and not thrilled about going alone

not to mention i was just plain bummed that Kaso wouldn't be there
