she's HOME!

Maddy is back!

we welcomed Aunt Maddy back from her mission about 2 weeks ago

she lived in North Carolina for 18 months and we sure missed her!

glad she's back!

Nolan went right up to her and loved on her like crazy

Maggie was perfectly content with her even though she doesn't "know" her, she was a bitty baby when Maddy left

And Griff in his usual style, wanted nothing to do with her

he warmed up after a few day's though, typical Griff!

this chick wakes up with crazy hair!

it will stay crazy until I wet it and put a little concoction in it to make it cute and curly

she has wild, wild hair!

sometimes I never get to her hair and it stays wild all day, poor girl

she let me pull it up the other day....for about 3.4 seconds

finally we have some neighbors WITH KIDS!!

It has made all the difference for my kids

we play outside with these little friends every single day

were getting closer and closer to having our backyard done

it's been a long time coming

we have a pretty good plan and some money saved especially for our yard

hoping to have something going on out there soon!

but in the meantime we have enjoyed riding the 4 wheeler and motorcycle around the yard (because it's all dirt and hills)

and we have very much enjoyed our sandbox

leave it to Griffin to get some kid scissors and cut his "bangs in a triangle"

 

i had my friend fix it the best she could

 

it had just started growing out and looking normal when he did it again!

 

i had gotten smart and hid all of the scissors, hair clippers, razors...everything

 

 the second haircut was done at Pepa and Daddy's shop while Griff was there helping one day

 

he went to use the bathroom and saw some electric clippers and went for it

 

he did his bangs really lightly and then went ahead and cut his hair to the scalp in another spot

 

the only way to really fix it this time is to buzz his hair to the scalp and i really do not like that look ugh

 

especially on fair little Griff who has NO eyebrows (poor kid takes after his Momma)

 

he looks pretty goofy but i will probably just leave it

 

 

V day

had a cute little breakfast and exchanged Valentines

had a fun little walk/run/hike

got a call from my man saying that he would be home early and to pack all of our bags!

kids were off to Mema and Pepa's and we were off to dinner, a movie and a night without kids

so i haven't pulled out my big camera in a LONG while

i feel so unmotivated, yet again (unfortunately i am unmotivated about life at the moment, dang)

we have literally just gotten over being sick for a month straight NO JOKE

we all got the flu and then literally right after we all caught colds...seriously??

i am so careful but we just couldn't avoid it this year, not many people have

it's been a rough one

thankfully it is all over with and we are starting to see some decent weather right around the corner

hallelujah!!

helping daddy on a job with a big crane, lucky little boy's
