Feeling Grateful and Blessed

A girl just moved in across the street from us who has a nine month old and is expecting another baby in a few months. She is my age and so nice. Unfortunately she is living alone with her little baby because her husband abandoned her back in May. He basically dropped her off somewhere and never picked her up. She has no idea where he is and he screens his calls and won't answer phone calls from her. I have gotten to know her really well and I really like her a lot. She is such a sweet girl and a great Mom. She has a cute little daughter and another little girl on the way. Her inlaws won't help her and frankly don't really care about her or the babies (her mother in law passed away and her father in law is a little crazy) Her biological parents are no where to be found because she has been in foster care her entire life. So, basically, she has no one. It is so sad. She was so trusting with her husband she loved him so dearly and he choose a different lifestyle. I guess he didn't really want to be a husband and father any more. A little late, huh? I have been doing my best to befriend her and help her out as much as I can. I lent her my maternity clothes and I have been driving her to job interviews (she is very motivated, even being very pregnant) and doctors appointments. Today is also her birthday which I am sure has been really hard for her. I believe there is a special place for men like her husband. I am so thankful that I have my wonderful hubby, my parents and my inlaws. I feel ridiculously lucky to have such wonderful people in my life and I am thankful for all of my silly material things. This girl has really changed my perspective on life and I am really glad that I met her. Above is a picture of her little girl Chloe and Griff. They really like each other and are becoming fast friends!

How sad, I can't imagine having noone to help. I am glad that you can be her friend and help her out.
