I Am Pushing Thirty!

Today was my 28th birthday. I can't even believe that I am soooo close to thirty now, ahhh! It was a pretty good bday :) My boss let me off early and Kasons boss ;) let him off early and we caught a movie, then went to dinner and then had some yummy apple pie! I got some money, a giftcard to my favorite salon to get my hair colored, manicure and pedicure and I also got a giftcard for an airbrush tan. I am going to be a whole new woman!! I need it soooo badly! I feel like a frumpy old hag haha.

There's Always Something New! Griff Is 11 Months Today!

Things are going well with us! Griff is still as fun as ever, we are sure enjoying him. He is going to be one in a month!!!! I can't even believe that my baby is a walking 11 month old. He went to the doctor on Monday and he is in the 93rd percentile in height (yayyyyyyyy!) and the 38th in weight. I guess he is tall and skinny! Seeing how short Kason is we are all about the 93rd percentile haha. We want an athlete! Griff is walking so good now he practically runs! He also spins around until he gets dizzy and falls on the ground. He LOVES doggies and he is going to be one for Halloween. It should be cute, I can't wait! We will be leaving Griff overnight soon so that we can have a Vegas getaway for our 2 year anniversary on September 29th. I am apprehensive but excited, it should be fun. Kason and I need some alone time :)

Cabin In Kolob

We had a fun weekend! We went with some friends to their cabin in Kolob and we had a lot of fun. We went with Jeremy, Alexa and their baby boy Alec. We grilled some yummy steaks, played some games, hung out on the huge deck and enjoyed the beautiful weather! We were supposed to go on a hike but the babies were naughty and tired so we didn't end up hiking. We just relaxed and enjoyed each other's company! The cabin was darling, we had so much fun :)

Trying Some Big Boy Food....

Griff seems so big to be eating nasty baby food still! So, we have been trying some big boy foods and he has done great with everything!! He has had: scrambled egg's with a little bit of cheese, pancakes, grilled cheese on wheat bread, whole wheat mac and cheese, whole milk, wheat quesadilla with a little bit of cheese and mashed black beans and wheat noodles with olive oil and parmesan cheese. As you can see, I don't want the kid knowing anything about white bread or other white stuff haha. He has done fine with everything so far! No reactions what so ever! He likes the whole milk but we will still do mostly formula until I get him on a multi vitamin and then we will make the big switch to whole milk. I have been giving him the milk in a sippy because as soon as he is one, sayonara bottles!! Poor kid, he loves them but oh well :) Anyway, things are good. I am staying busy with work and spending all my extra time with Griff and Kason. Usually it's just Griff and I because Kason works his butt off on side jobs all the time but that's okay with me ;) Hehe.

Happy Birthday Kaso! The Big 2-7!

Today was Kason's birthday and we had such a nice day! I woke Kason up early this morning to give him his present :) Poor guy, it was killing me! I got him a sweet pair of Nike golf shoes because he golfs sooooooooo much. I also talked to a golf pro about giving Kase a golf lesson. Kase is a pretty good golfer but he could use some professional tips! So, Kase strapped on his new golf shoes and went golfing today with his Dad and brother Klint. Then, we went shoe shopping for Griff (the kid has some crazy feet! I think we are going to have to buy him some special and expensive shoes...either Pedipeds or See Kai Run's)Anyway, then after shopping we sat and planned our anniversary getaway and then it was off to Player's for dinner with Kason's family. It was good food and we had fun eating and chatting!Then after dinner Kason, Griff and I went on a little night hike. All in all, I think Kase had a good bday!

And He's Off!

We officially have a walker! He walks most places he needs to go but still does an occasional crawl. It is the craziest thing to see my little 10 1/2 month old baby boy walking!!! It is a lot of fun though and he seems really happy to be doing it. I have tried and tried to upload a dang video of it and I can't figure it out, I am so bummed!! BUT I got some pics of the littly guy walking so enjoy that for now :) I will continue to work on the video.

It's Been A While!

I haven't had anything really exciting going on in my life for a while. I went back to work full time starting on August 12th so that has been super depressing! I am working full time so that I can double up on health insurance and not pay an arm and a leg for the next baby. It is nice to get out of the house and be with adults but I miss my boy sooooo much! Thank goodness Grandma Pead watches him along with Maddy and Nicole on occasion. He adores all of them and LOVES being at Grandmas house. He could care less when I come to pick him up. It is hilarious! He sees me and then goes about what he is doing. Funny kid! At least he is happy there, yayyyy for that!
