you turned 2 today!

your two's don't seem that terrible yet, but i think it's coming

you are super sweet though, my loviest and friendliest kid by far

you have the sweetest, most flawless little face

your eye's are so blue and so perfect

you are a tiny one weighing in at 24 lbs

you are not a good eater at all but you love your milk

trying to decide if you have some food allergies or possibly an intolerance to dairy

sometimes your little body is covered in hives but they don't even phase you

you have been holding your tummy and complaining for a while so you are now off all dairy and drinking lactose free milk, for now

that is until i take you to get a blood draw and some allergy testing done which i am kind of avoiding

you had a frenulectomy a few weeks ago and a blood draw for some other things last week

giving you a little break because you are not a fan of doctors and needles (thanks to the tongue clipping)

you healed from your tongue surgery extremely fast and you are already talking much much more, and more clearly too

it is so good to see you play with your tongue and stick it out as far as it will go

some of your funny words are:

chi chi for maggie (chickadee)

and when you can't find something or someone you say "hiding"

nolan, you are such a sweet boy. we love you so so much.

new favorite thing.::birth photography

sounds a bit crazy to have a photographer in the room while giving birth, but let me tell you, it was amazing!

i loved not having to worry about who was going to take pictures and if they would turn out right.

everyone got to enjoy themselves while my wonderful friend mandy snapped away.

we hardly noticed she was even there.

i will cherish these sweet, candid little pictures forever.

they bring back the raw emotion of that morning and i love every single one of them. all 306! it was so hard to narrow down my faves.

1 month

what maggie is up to at one month old:

sleeps so so good

wakes up one time a night and usually only feeds on one side

hardly ever cries

mostly just does a silly little fuss when she's hungry

but she does scream like a beast in the car

speaking of beast, she snuggly fits into 0-3's and fits great in 3 month stuff, holy

has already smiled a few times, real one's!

hates binks

hates to be poopy

very lazy at nursing and not that great at it

she has the weirdest latch and i have tried and tried to fix it, oh well

magz, you are the sweetest, cuddliest, fattest little girlfriend ever!

we love you so much....we love you for being an easy-peasy little girl. please, please, please stay this way! i love that you are a girl but it truly still hasn't sunk in for me yet, what's up with that? but you do have some cute girly tendencies that i can already see and i love it. your brothers adore you. it's like they know you are a precious girl and they are so sweet and careful with you. you get held by them several times a day. you also get sung to by griff and it is the most tender thing, plus you love it! one day griff called you chickadee and of course it stuck and now we all call you that. nolan can't quite say your nickname, so to him you are chi chi.

2 weeks

girlie is 9 lbs 13 oz and 21 1/2 inches long!

99% in height and weight and her head is 83rd

she is crazy big!! out of newborn diapers and barely squeezing into newborn clothes

but she is so so sweet and cuddly and the EASIEST baby i have had yet

i have to wake her to feed her, it's hilarious

she wakes 2-3 times a night and still goes right back to sleep

she rarely makes a peep!

we couldn't love this little girl more!

i am slowly stock piling girl clothes and it has been so much fun

i am also starting on her room which i am super excited about

we love you maggie!

::on my mind::

-i am sure i'm pretty late with this but planking has got to be the funniest crap i have ever seen

-griff and i are obsessed with it



-howard jones is coming here in concert and i am dying to go

-i am not as disturbed by my post-pregnancy body as i thought i would be (or normally am)

-i have 10 more pounds to lose and i am SO ready to get started

-i can't even begin to imagine maggie being our last baby

-right after i have a baby i begin to think about another one and i am jealous of other pregnant people (Emily, Ashley, Natalie) ridiculousness!

-i really want a suburban, badly

-i still don't feel like maggie is a girl, just a newborn baby...wonder if it will sink in when she walks, talks and has hair?

-i am kind of missing facebook but now that i have 3 kids, i really don't have time for it

first week

-maggie spent her first three day's in the nicu for blood sugar issues (don't even get me started. ha.)

-they must have poked her (for labs and blood sugar tests) and switched her iv around a million times.

-i didn't even get to change her diaper and see her little goods til day two of her life. it kind of helped solidify that she was indeed a girl!

-i felt back to normal by day two. this recovery has been a breeze, believe it or not!

-i could be speaking too soon, and i know she could flip a switch anytime, but she is the EASIEST baby. doesn't cry, wakes up twice a night and fusses til i feed her and then it's right back to sleep.

-the boy's are doing so good with her. griff is as sweet as can be and asks lot's of funny questions. like, why does she have a little butt in front, mom? and why do you have milk in your boobs?

-nolan is still a turkey. he is good with the baby but he still flips out at nap time and bed time. i am seriously sleep training an almost 2 year old and it's ridiculous! other than his sleep issues, he has been awesome. lot's of loves for maggie all day long.

-my mom has been here and has been a great help!

scored the photo shoot for free from an awesome girl who just moved here and wants to promote her business. she is the sweetest thing and the most talented photographer!
