Who Me??

I never thought I would allow this...

I have always despised any type of kid's clothing that has cartoon or Disney characters plastered on it. No way would I let my child wear a shirt with Elmo on the front or light up sneakers with Diego smack dab on the side. There are many things I said I wouldn't do as a parent. Many of those things I DO daily. We won't go there but just take my word for it ;) I have never been able to stomach Thomas the Train but now I simply adore those silly little trains! I want to run out and buy Griff every $20 train they make! No joke, they are $20 a pop and he has three so add it up. No he doesn't have an Elmo shirt or Diego sneakers but let me tell you, if he wanted them I would go for it.

So Griff has been potty trained for well over a week now and he is doing amazing. Even when we are out and about he tells me that he needs to go and we try to find the nearest bathroom (blech). He wakes up dry like 5 or 6 nights out of the week but I am still hesitant about undies at night time so we slap on a dipe. I have a cute baby who wakes me up every night, I don't need a peed toddler waking me too :)

Yay Griffin! Way to go on being easy to potty train! All it took was a few days of antibiotics, which led to horrendous diarrhea, then on to one insane diaper rash, which then led to me telling him that the diapers were making the rash, to him begging me to wear undies. Easy Peasy.

i'm exactly like you!! i've always sworn i'd never ever let my children wear character clothes. we've slacked up a little bit - of course. krew has all character undies, and some character pj's... and he just picked out a pair of toy story flip flops. but i think that's about as far as we'll let it go :) so glad griff is potty trained! isn't it wonderful!!
