this girl has changed SO much in the past month!
random tidbits:
-she started crawling about five days ago (she also started rolling the same day lol). she is super slow and cautious unlike the boy's were. once they realized what they could do, they went for it! maggie sometimes misses a "step" while she is crawling and she falls over and rolls onto her back. it's hilarious!
-she JUST started eating some little baby snacks. i tried solid stuff a few weeks ago and she wasn't having it. she still isn't all that into baby food. she eats one jar 3 times a day, eats some of her little snacks and loves drinking water from her sippy cup. she is able to hold her cup and drink by herself which is SO nice! she still loves to nurse and prefers that over anything still.
-she is super fun and has tons of personality these days. she waves, says Momma and Dadda and is obsessed with animals of any kind. she especially loves my inlaws dog. she jabbers and babbles constantly. she is really easy going and happy! although she has been a total beast in the teething department ahhh..and she still has NO teeth.
-she is super big! she has the biggest thighs and bum still :) maybe now that she is crawling she will thin out. but i love her just the way she is! she is so cuddly and squishy! i went shopping for her at old navy and bought 12-18 month summer stuff. crazy! the sizes she wears vary by the brand of course. she can still wear some nine month stuff. but still!! she's my beasty girl!
-she still nurses in the middle of the night, ahh. usually it's once or twice but since she has been teething she has been up a lot more. a little bit of medicine, teething tablets and mommy's milk is all that will make her happy.
-she only takes one nap a day. they range from 30 mins to 3 hours. the 3 hour one's are RARE and the 30 minute one's are often and make me want to cry!
-i often feel like i am raising griffin all over again. she is a girl version of that boy! it's pretty fun to see and watch the similarities.
magz we love love love you! happy 9 months girl!

easter
easter started out with a razor scooter ride to mema and pepa's house
this isn't a short little ride! it took my three boy's somewhere between 45 minutes to an hour
i truly didn't think the little boy's would make it all the way there but they proved me wrong!
here they are at the college (i stopped there intending to rescue them but they insisted on finishing their trek!)
they finally made it and then started the easter festivities!
we had a fun little egg hunt where the boy's got some yummy candy and money. we ate some good food and had a matchbox car race (an easter tradition and SO much fun!)
a hidden egg
pepa and maggie
*i have a GOAL to stop using phone pics and start using my camera pics! i am just so busy (lazy) and the phone one's are so much easier and already edited etc etc etc

worth remembering
came across these pics on my phone the other day.
i didn't take them, and i wasn't present when they were taken.
the boys used an app called doodle booth and decorated and saved their pictures.
wow!! haha
i LOVE digging through my phone and watching the various videos and looking at pictures taken by my funny little boys!
and of course i don't want to ever forget this girls chubby little body! i squeeze her bum and thighs all day long! so happy it's getting warmer so i can see her fat little body better.

eight months
OH this girl....
i love her! she is getting to be so fun. this age kills me because i love it so much and don't want it to end!
she is trying to get moving but she just isn't quit there, that's what i LOVE!
that she can sit still and stay in one spot.
boy, does she try to get her body moving though!
last month she was doing the backward scooting thing and she no longer does that.
she must have realized it wasn't getting her to where she wanted to go.
she now tries to pull up on things and pretty much gets on her knees while doing so.
she also gets on all fours and rocks but that is it for now.
she still does NOT roll. she doesn't even attempt it! ha.
i can still lay her on beds and not worry about her. that is crazy!
i do stay close by though :)
she has either had 2 double ear infections or the same double ear infection for a LONG period of time.
i am not big on antibiotics but since she had a double (my first kid with a double, poor babe) i felt bad for her and went for it.
i usually use garlic oil and other little home remedies.
she has since had TWO rounds of yucky meds and her ear infection is still brewing.
let's just say it's been a nightmare ;)
she has been night waking and not napping (like thirty minutes a day, NO JOKE)
BUT griff was my non-napping baby and did this same exact thing when he was a baby, not the night waking....the nearly non-existent napping
it's the DEVIL....let's hope it's her ears and not her trying to be griffin's twin (because she is very much griffin's twin)
anyway, it's back to the doc tomorrow for her poor little ears.
other than the sleeping/ear issues magz is a ton of fun.
she screams and squeals and is SUPER noisy sometimes.
she is obsessed with dogs.
eats 3 jars of baby food a day but really prefers nursing over anything.
maggie you are sweet sweet sweet!
can't believe you are well on your way to your first birthday! crazy...
19lbs 1 oz and 27 inches long (75% in both)

some tidbits
first and foremost....
i just hired a nanny/babysitter and she starts next week
i am extremely nervous and i feel a ton of guilt over this
BUT i need to be able to workout/run errands on a more consistent basis
i fully trust who will be watching my kids and the way that i found her was meant to be (cool story. it had to have happened the way that it did for a reason)
she is in my ward and has kids that are in school all day, so it's a perfect fit!
i really am sick about leaving my kiddies and i am trying so hard to get over it. i have shed some tears over this so of course it's confusing me on whether or not this is the right thing to do. i need to learn how to be selfish though and take some (much needed) time for me. my sanity needs this. badly.
she will come three days a week for 2 hours a day.
the kiddies:
nolan is now taking gymnastics with griffin (in a younger class) because i told him that if he got potty trained i would sign him up. i really thought it would take months but he did it in one week. he never has accidents and wakes up dry every single morning, without fail. griff still pee's his pull up every single night lol. nolan is so sweet, almost TOO sweet! he shares everything, with anyone. griff throws fits throughout the day for different things that nolan has. without even thinking about it or having to be asked, he gives up his toys, sippy cups, his favorite spoon, you name it. he is SWEET as can be.
griffin is excelling in gymnastics and was asked to move up a level. yay! he does really well and listens to his coaches. he is an interesting kid! he has a really hard time saying sorry and is never truly remorseful when he hurts someone. it really bothers me and we have talked and talked about it. totally brings me back to the convo we had about throwing nolan in the road and letting him get run over :/ he also lies and its KILLING me. i cannot stand the lying! gotta fix that...grrr. funny story: he told me the other day that he wanted to go in his room, close the door and listen to crazy music really loud. yikes!!!! one on one, griffin is a lot of fun but sometimes when it comes to nolan, he's not that great. he does really well with friends and kids at the park but he's a poop when it comes to his brother (who adores him by the way). but he also really loves his brother and really does watch out for him. sometimes he is so caring and sweet with his brother. he is amazing with maggie. so super helpful with that little one. and she adores him!
maggie is awesome. i am obsessed with her. she is so cute and does so many different noises and does some silly tricks with her tongue. she laughs a lot and does a ton of jabbering. she is sweet as can be! she is definitely my little pal. she's over 18 pounds now and when i went shopping for her last week i bought her 12 month clothes. oh my! she is super long and is starting to thin out a tad. i LOVE her so so much.
