i cried and hid when he was born because i was so sure he was going to be a girl and he wasn't.
although after 3 girls, my parents were undoubtedly thrilled!
he has always been a good kid and has never given my parents an ounce of trouble.
he has always excelled in school and sports, and pretty much everything else.
he graduated from asu with 2 degrees and is currently living in china teaching english to kindergarten aged kids.
he plans on attending law school somewhere eventually but felt he needed some service in his background.
so off he went!
when daniel was a kid, he somehow acquired the nicknames bambi and honker (my personal fave).
i am pretty sure i came up with everyone's crazy nicknames in our family.
mom (margaret, fran and friendly)
lindsay (pinch, pinner for pinner, pinchaladas)
dad (podge)
you get the idea....
totally weird and random names. they really don't mean a thing!
so a few years ago i collected a tiny little toy from who knows where, maybe mcdonald's?? it is a little monster with a tag on his bum with the name: Honker.
so i have hung on to it forever and have been waiting for a time to give it to daniel.
when i found out he was going to china i figured that was the perfect time! so here is the little guy in Guilin, China. (he is clenched in daniel's hand)

So awesome huh?! I am just blown away by the things he is doing and experiencing there. He's the bomb. Thank goodness they had a kid to redeem the rest of us! haha. Little honkey tonk! That's so cute about the little toy! Nice sissy.
J - How in the world do you come up with all those nicknames? And you even have some for your own family. Glad your brother turned out after all the things you girls did to him when he was growing up. It is a wonder he is normal. So glad he decided to take Honker with him to China. MeMaZona
