37 Week OB Appt

Today's appointment went pretty well! I am still 1 cm but I was much softer this time. His head is way low so my measurements are off now because of that. I have gained 28 pounds at this point. The doc thinks that my weight is on the lower side but I disagree! Haha. This baby could really come anytime because I have protein and glucose in my urine and if the protein gets worse I will have to be induced, even if it's after next weeks appointment. So, Kason and I decided that before I go to the doc we will make sure to have things ready just in case I get sent to the hospital. But it looks like either way I will be going at 39 weeks to get this little guy out! Yay for that! I am feeling okay still. Not awesome though by any means ;) It is just too darn hot to be pregs. Not too much longer and this little critter will be here!

36 Week OB Appt

Yayyy I am all caught up on my measurements and my weight is all good now. I don't see why my weight wouldn't be caught up because I eat like a pig and I eat SUCH bad stuff! Ahhhh. I guess that is what being pregnant is for, not watching every little thing that you eat. Sooooo I guess I am going to enjoy it for the next few weeks :) I have gained a total of 25 pounds and I have a feeling that I will go past 30. I gain kind of rapidly at the very end. I had a little bit of glucose in my urine so the doc is going to be watching that. Here's the good news....I am 1 cm dilated and a little bit effaced already! I know it's not much and it might not mean a thing but it's still good news to me. Little guy's heartbeat was 150 so looking good! That is actually on the higher end for him. His head was also really low and engaged so I am happy about that. I am hoping for just 3 more weeks! That is CRAZY to think about. I guess I need to start getting things ready! If he came any time soon I would SO not be ready. I have nothing washed and nothing put together the way that I want it. Plus, my house is a disaster!!

Annual Beaver Mountain Trip!

Every year we go to Beaver Mountain to escape the nasty heat and have some fun. It was SUCH a fun trip despite having an almost 2 year old and a huge pregnant belly :) Beaver Mountain is special to my little family because it is where Kason and I got engaged overlooking a gorgeous lake! We have a picture of us there when we got engaged, a picture of us with Griffin in my belly, a picture of us with Griff at 10 months old and a picture of us this year with Griff and me with a belly again! Of course my camera took a dump on the trip so I got ONE cute pic of Griff. Thank goodness my father in law has a sweet camera and got some good one's of us. I will post those pics when I get them :) I will also try to post the yearly progression pics.

This year was fun because Griff was so easy and had the best time. I barely even had to watch him. He just ran around, played in the dirt, rode his big wheeler, went on 4 wheeler rides and played with his friend Abby and cousin Addy. He was really good and easy going so it made the trip really nice for Kason and I :) I got to relax quite a bit and just soak up the scenery. I can tell Griffin is going to always love the outdoors, 4 wheeling and camping! I am so glad! Next year might be interesting with two kids though. We keep talking about how we hope that Nolan is cool and easy going like Griff. We want to be able to enjoy doing the same things we do now so we will see :) Nolan already knows the sounds of 4 wheelers so maybe he will come out loving them like Griffin did.

Update

I went to the doctor today and things are looking better! Not perfect but better than last time so yayy :) I am still measuring a tad small but nothing to worry about yet. In two weeks if things aren't going a lot better (as far as weight gain and measuring) then we will do an ultrasound and do a fluid/baby check. I am thinking that things are going to be fine. Maybe I will get a smaller framed little guy instead of a huge beast like Griffin was. Wouldn't that be nice?? Then maybe I can actually get him out myself! I was positive in the last few weeks that this little dude wasn't head down because I was being kicked on both hip bones. Now I am feeling rib kicks and the lower part of my baby belly hurts, which the doc said means head down! Yayy! He felt down there today and he is pretty sure he felt a hard little head :) Fun stuff. The doc said my weight gain has been a little slow, weird because I have gained 20 flippin' pounds! Sounds like PLENTY to me. Sheesh. Praying that this babe breast feeds well so I can get back to normal. Anyway, I am soooo excited to meet Nolan. We are aiming for about 6 more weeks, ahh! Now it's off to Beaver Mountain for a fun filled few days of camping and watching everyone 4-wheel, arghh. The doc wasn't too excited about me going camping but I guess I'm going. Eeeek!

33 Weeks!

I am hoping for only 6 more weeks but we will see. I don't love the idea of being induced a week early (or at all unless I have to) but I don't want to experience what I did last time. 24 hour labor, 3 hours of pushing, having to start pushing at 9cm to get myself to 10cm, numerous tries with the "baby vacuum" and a little guy who came out blue and not crying. He made a little squeal but never did cry like a newborn should cry. He was exhausted, I was exhausted and I barely remember his birth. No thanks! I want a better experience this time! But I know I can't be choosy. You just never know what will happen when it comes to labor and birth.

I really hate complaining about pregnancy but I am starting to get to the uncomfortable stage now. I feel like garbage most of the time. I can't sleep to SAVE MY LIFE. I am having serious insomnia and my hips hurt so bad from sleeping on my sides. I am dying to sleep on my tummy again! I swear I must turn over 100 times in the night because my hips can only handle so much. I can't say I am ready for this baby to be here because I'm not. I am okay with him staying in until he is ready. I am just getting uncomfortable and I am nervous about the weeks to come. It also doesn't help that Griff might just be officially done with napping. Oh.My.Goodness. How am I going to survive the no napping?

All Done!!

I guess I need to listen the first time when Griffin tells me he is ALL DONE. He shouts it at me when he is done eating but since he eats SOOOOOO GOOD I usually ignore his first few all done's...not anymore! OR I need to just start buckling the kid in ;)
