On Saturday the 16th we had a sweet Toy Story party for Griff. For a long time this party was supposed to be Dora themed so thank goodness Toy Story 3 came out, just in time.
This was a hard little party to plan. It took a good full day or two to get everything organized and ready. I thought I was making it easier on myself by 1.) having the party anywhere but my house 2.) having it outdoors and late enough in the day (so we could be outdoors and not sweat to death) because it has been so warm here. But really, it was actually crazy hard! By the time we were done planning and preparing for the party, I didn't even want to have it anymore!
So we drove to the park where the party was supposed to be and just as I thought the whole park was abuzz with a bus load of people for some kind of democratic rally. Awesome. So an hour before the party we found an empty gazebo at a different park and a mass text was sent to all the guests. Ay yiy yiy. Oh and I am the fool who didn't reserve the tables at the park. Lesson learned.
Come five o'clock the guests are arriving and we are still setting up. Gahh. Oh well! We ended up having SO much fun. Everything went so smoothly and everyone had a great time. It was so fun to see all of my cutie friends (thanks guy's) and their sweet kids. It was extra amazing to see my stunning friend Jaci just FOUR days after giving birth, strolling up to Griff's party.
{my mom and i were teaching my friends how to pose after watching a tv segment about posing} haha.
A little mental note....serving dinner at a party is A LOT of work. Write that down friends ;) I wanted the party to be later in the day but later in the day means dinner time for most kids. Haha. But really, it was the perfect party and I think a lot of fun was had by all.
Us girls ended the crazy party day by going to a concert followed by a slumber party.

I'm so glad it turned out! Kaden's birthday is this week, I'm trying to keep it simple but it seems like these things always become more. I can't believe Griff is 3!
Cute cute party! I can agree that feeding people is a lot of work. Except we don't have as many come as you do, so I'm sure it's even harder. Good Job! We sooo wish we were there. I know Addie would have loved it. Plus, she loves toy story (picks toy story and cars pull-ups over princess). Looks like a blast!
Love the B-day boy posts! Hey can you email me your email address, so that I can send you a link to your pics. I can only send it, via email. Lame, I know :)
